GLEDOPTO GL-C-618WL WLED Controller – 4 Output Ethernet & Wi-Fi
The GLEDOPTO GL-C-618WL Elite is a four-output WLED controller designed for addressable LED strips and pixel lighting. Based on an ESP32 and supplied with WLED pre-installed, it provides network control through 2.4GHz Wi-Fi or a wired RJ45 Ethernet connection.
With four independent addressable LED outputs, the GL-C-618WL is suited to multi-zone installations where several LED strips or pixel runs need to be controlled from one controller. WLED provides control through its web interface or compatible mobile apps, with support for effects, segments, presets and smart-home integration.

Hardware Features
Ethernet & Wi-Fi Connectivity
Connect the controller to your network using 2.4GHz Wi-Fi or RJ45 Ethernet. Ethernet provides a wired network connection where a more consistent connection is preferred.
Four Independent LED Outputs
The GL-C-618WL provides four physical addressable LED data outputs, allowing multiple LED strips or pixel runs to be connected to one controller. The outputs can be configured in WLED for separate lighting zones, effects and LED configurations.
Flexible Power Input
The controller supports 5V, 12V and 24V DC power through the screw terminals. A 5V / 3A maximum Type-C input is also provided for suitable 5V installations.
Fuse Protection
The controller includes a replaceable fuse to provide overcurrent protection for the controller's power circuit.

Important Power & Voltage Information
The LED strip voltage must match the power supply voltage. For example, use a 5V power supply with a 5V WS2812B strip and a 12V power supply with a 12V WS2815 strip. The controller does not convert between voltages.
The controller passes the supply voltage through to the LED outputs, so selecting the correct power supply voltage is essential. For long LED runs or high-density strips, additional power injection may be required to minimise voltage drop.
Power injection does not increase the controller's rated output capacity, which remains 15A total maximum.
Power supply not included. Use a regulated DC power supply with the correct voltage and sufficient current capacity for your LED installation.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does it come with WLED pre-installed?
Yes. The controller is supplied with WLED pre-installed and is ready for network setup. Firmware versions may vary between production batches.
Can I use Ethernet instead of Wi-Fi?
Yes. The GL-C-618WL supports both RJ45 Ethernet and 2.4GHz Wi-Fi, allowing you to choose a wired or wireless network connection.
Can I power the controller via the Type-C port?
Yes. The Type-C input supports 5V / 3A maximum and is intended for suitable 5V installations. For 12V or 24V LED installations, use the DC screw-terminal input.
Does it work with Home Assistant?
Yes. WLED controllers can be integrated locally with Home Assistant using the native WLED integration.
Can I control four LED strips independently?
Yes. The GL-C-618WL provides four physical addressable LED outputs, allowing multiple LED strips or pixel runs to be connected to one controller. The outputs can be configured in WLED for separate lighting zones and effects.
Ideal For
The GLEDOPTO GL-C-618WL Elite is suited to larger or more complex addressable LED installations where four outputs, WLED control and Ethernet connectivity are required. It is suitable for multi-zone home lighting, gaming setups, TV backlighting, architectural lighting, pixel displays and Home Assistant installations.
